For debian / ubuntu linux users who can not wait to experience the new features of LibreOffice 6.0 can follow the following tutorial to install the app if in the official repo does not exist yet. But before we get started, first of all this example has been done on Debian GNU / Linux 9.3 (stretch) x86_64.

Download
1. Go to www.libreoffice.org
2. Choose your operating system: Linux x86_64 (deb)
3. Click DOWNLOAD and place it to ~/Downloads, after that you'll get LibreOffice_6.0.0_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gz

Prerequisite
# Linux Kernel version 2.6.18 or higher
$ uname -r
4.9.0-5-amd64

# glibc2 version 2.5 or higher;
$ apt show libc-bin
Package: libc-bin
Version: 2.24-11+deb9u1
...

# freetype version 2.2.0 or higher;
$ apt show libfreetype6
Package: libfreetype6
Version: 2.6.3-3.2
...

# gtk version 2.10.4 or higher;
$ apt show libgtk2.0-bin
Package: libgtk2.0-bin
Version: 2.24.31-2
...

# if use Gnome, need version 2.16 or higher, with the gail 1.9 and the at-spi 1.7 packages (required for support for assistive technology [AT] tools), or another compatible GUI (such as KDE, among others).

The installation
$ cd ~/Downloads
# extract
$ tar -vxf LibreOffice_6.0.0_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gz
$ cd LibreOffice_6.0.0.3_Linux_x86-64_deb/DEBS

$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb

# optional
$ sudo ln -s /opt/libreoffice6.0/program/soffice /usr/bin/libreoffice
By default, LibreOffice favours nice-looking graphics over speed. If you experience slow graphics, switching off 'Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View - Use Anti-Aliasing' may help.

Alternative installation metode
1. flatpak:
$ flatpak install --from https://flathub.org/repo/appstream/org.libreoffice.LibreOffice.flatpakref
